Live in Amsterdam

by Billy Goodman

Released 2000
Released 2000
A late-night set at the world-renowned "Paradiso" in the Netherlands. Lots of slide guitar and long jams. This guy is “the missing link between Paul Simon and Ry Cooder”.

A late-night atmospheric set performed at the world renowned Paradiso in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

With 8 long playing tracks featuring a lot of bottleneck slide guitar reminiscent of early Ry Cooder plus songwriting and vocals that make us think of young Paul Simon, the album has a laid-back and unique quality.

Coming from the USA, where he has performed with the Goodman Brothers,
Grace Slick and Starship, Jorma Kaukonen of Hot Tuna, Dave Mason of Traffic, Billy now resides in Berlin.

"...captivates the listener by his consistently exquisite work on his instrument, the slide guitar, ..." (Oldie-Markt, April 2001)

"The musical quality is excellent, ... the performance remarkable ... Super music for the twilight hour!" (Musiker Magazin, 3/2001)

Billy Goodman: guitars, vocals
Andrew Krell: acoustic bass
